DESERT DEVELOPMENTS LLC

Just like you, Ida Alwin fell in love with the desert as soon as she came to visit for the first time in 2012.  By 2015 she had left London, where she worked as a TV Producer, and moved to Joshua Tree with her Labradoodle, Bug.  She saw huge potential for a sustainable, off-grid lifestyle and decided to start developing solar-powered homes in areas that had never been considered for development up until that point.  

 

Not without its challanges, this new kind of home had to be introduced to the public.  Ida appearanced on NBC Palm Springs and shortly thereafter launched her the Eco Homes Tour - highlighting stylish off grid homes of the desert.

Now Ida is offering her expertise in sustainable development, and high-desert ways to those who are just as passionate about stellar design, sustainable living and of course this beautiful expanse she now calls home with her young daughter, desert-raised fiancé and three dogs.
